Lucy & Alan’s Wedding at Spains Hall Essex

Last weekend we photographed Lucy & Alan’s wedding. We were so lucky with the weather as it had been rain on and off leading up to the day. We left Hertfordshire with grey clouds and rain and arrived in Castle Hedingham in Essex with bright sky’s and no rain – yipee! This wedding was stunning, the details were scrumptious and the flowers were my absolute favourite. Their wedding was just across the road from their house and the reception at Spains Hall in Finchingfield, a perfect setting for a summer wedding – a beautiful backdrop for reception drinks and games on the lawn before heading over to the stable for the wedding breakfast.

Now this wedding was a little different as usually the focus is on the bride and groom but there was someone else attracting a lot of attention – Thomas the dog! Yes, he even walked down the aisle and came to the reception. Although he did not enjoy the wedding breakfast with everyone he did wake up for a cuddle with his Mum and a final shot for the album – what a star.

Thank you to Lucy & Alan for allowing us to be a part of your day. It was a pleasure to photograph, not least because you are a great couple but you have such great families and friends which really enhanced our enjoyment of the day.
