On Saturday we had the pleasure of capturing Jonah’s Bar Mitzvah celebrations. Our coverage actually began last Thursday at 6.45am at Shul.
After driving through the snow we met the family and their close friends to capture the emotion of Jonah’s call up followed by Shacharit breakfast. As we are not permitted to photograph during the Bar Mitzvah ceremony on the Saturday, this was a great opportunity to document this special moment that symbolises Jonah becoming a man. During the Shabbat service he read maftir and haftarah beshallach.
On to the party, and what a party this was!
With personalised m&m’s, live fish in martini glasses for the table centre pieces, and his very own ice sculpture, this was a party that people won’t forget in a hurry. The celebrations continued into the early hours with fun, dancing and novelty hats!
