So after many months of planning, the big day is finally here. Kat & Anil are a unique couple, who last weekend embraced each others cultures by taking part in a traditional civil ceremony as well as a beautiful Hindu ceremony. These both took place in the long gallery at Fanhams Hall in Ware.
Kat looked stunning in her first wedding outfit, a beautiful fitted dress by Maggie Sottero. Her second outfit for the Hindu ceremony was amazing, heavily embellished with rich red and gold beading. Both were perfect and Kat glowed all day.
This was our first Hindu ceremony, it was fascinating to capture and a wonderful experience. Both families were so welcoming and respectful of each other’s cultures and it was a truly joyful day.

Kat’s parents played an important part in the Hindu ceremony and performed their roles perfectly, this included Kat’s father washing Anil’s right foot with milk and honey which is a tradition used to welcome the son-in-law. The mixture of yoghurt, honey & ghee (Madhuparka) simbolises the sweetness and strength in life.
