Katie & Tom’s Wedding

July 3, 2009

The truly, madly, deeply in love Katie & Tom got married at Fanhams Hall on Saturday 27th. Another hot and sticky day and luckily no rain till the evening – fun to use the umbrellas for the final shot which is below.  Well, I don’t think I have ever seen a bride as excited as Katie, she was about to pop with excitment when she arrived at Fanhams. Everything had come together perfectly and they were about to enjoy a perfect day.

To a fabulous couple, thank you for allowing us to capture your excitement and love for each other, we had a fantastic day!! Hope you love the preview below.

“From the moment we met Ian and Emma we knew they were the photographers who were going to capture our big day.   Their website in comparison to the others we’d researched  showed us just what they could do and when we met them, looked through their albums and chatted with them – it was confirmed!

The pre-wedding shoot was a great idea.  I’m one of those people who pulls silly faces as soon as a camera is in sight but they made me feel very relaxed and the photos were great.  It was also a great time to get to know Ian and Emma better which made us feel a lot more relaxed in front of the camera before the wedding!

On the day itself, what can I say!  I never dreamed I would have a wedding day like that.  Ian and Emma captured the day perfectly – they have an incredible talent.  Thank you!

From the moment they started to when they sadly had to leave after our first dance they were absolutely wonderful.  Emma took some lovely photos of me getting ready and made sure I was on time and calm! Ian had a mini photo shoot with Tom and the Ushers which I think they thoroughly enjoyed!  When the official bit started you barely noticed them throughout the ceremony but they somehow took some wonderful photos capturing all the emotion in the room.  They were wonderful in organising family and guests for the group shots and very patient!  A number of friends and family commented after the event at how nice they were and so professional (and this was before they had seen the photos!).  They worked closely with the venue staff so they were aware of timings and knew where we had to be and when.  They took photos at all the right times, capturing the hysterics during the speeches and the atmosphere during the first dance.   What a perfect day!

While we were on honeymoon the blog was set up!  We had a number of texts telling us to log in immediately to look at the photos.  Words like amazing, beautiful, WOW spring to mind!!   We managed to locate a laptop and logged on ….  how right they were, what a lovely treat!!!  We met with Ian and Emma a few weeks later to go through all of the photos.   We knew the photos would be good but we were truly blown away.   The presentation was excellent.  Ian and Emma do everything so thoughtfully and added a personal tough to the whole experience.   It was emotional seeing all the photos but the floodgates opened when we were looking at all the first dance photos with our first dance song playing in the background!  Such a lovely touch!  It took 4.5 hours to choose the photos for our album but it was worth every second – the album is fabulous.  It tells such a perfect story of the day and brings back so many happy memories.  Its perfect, worth every penny and what a wonderful thing to have to treasure til we’re old and grey!

Ian and Emma – I’ve said it a million times!  Thank you so very much! So many happy memories have been captured by you and we’re very grateful to you for doing such a fantastic job!  : )”
