Liz and Mike’s vintage wedding was a couple of weeks ago, such a gorgeous wedding it was hard to choose for the blog as there were lots we wanted to share.
Where to start?…the vintage wedding dress, this was made by the very talented Adam Shaw along with their daughter’s bridesmaid dress.
You may have seen Sophie in the pre wedding photos I posted a few weeks ago. I didn’t think she could look any cuter but she did in her beautiful lace layered dress. Later in the day it teamed up perfectly with un matching wellie boots!
Liz’s hair accessory was made by Hannah Collins, both Hannah and Adam are friends from university, what great friends to have!
The ceremony was held in Barnet at St. Mary’s church and was a delight to be a part of. It was very entertaining, as you can imagine with young children in the bridal party. The vicar did a brilliant job making the service informal but sincere and memorable.
Bringing Liz to the church and Mr & Mrs Mayes from the church to Hunton Park was Mike’s GT. His third pride and joy, which he restored especially for the wedding.
So, on to the reception and it was all about the vintage style and cake, cake, cake! An amazing cake table laidened with homemade cakes filled one corner of the marquee. After cutting the main wedding cake, the other cakes were distributed to each table for dessert. A brilliant idea which had each table interacting, even if it were to find out who had the ginger cake!
Anyway, enough from me, here are some of our favourites from the day, enjoy! …
