I wrote this while sitting on our grass terrace overlooking lake Como at our gorgeous hotel in Bellagio last week. (Jealous, you should be, it was heaven!)
The view is magnificent; I can hardly believe I am here. The weather is beautiful, hot with a gentle lake breeze. We are enjoying our last day here of our weeklong stay that has been the biggest adventure since stating our business.
We were commissioned to photograph Lorraine and Brahim’s 4 day wedding extravaganza after meeting them at their friends, Nicola & Dave’s wedding in April. (You may have seen their blog post back in April).
This extended wedding celebration began early on Friday 21st August at Lorraine and Brahim’s home with pink champagne before heading off to Chelsea registry office for a very quick, yet beautifully conducted civil ceremony. En route we stopped at Liberty’s to pick up a bouquet, a head of purple hydrangeas – perfect!
We then jumped in a taxi and took a whistle stop tour round London’s most famous landmarks for some fun shots, it was hilarious just a shame the security guards at some of these places were not so accommodating!
After a fab lunch at Zumo, (Ian has been converted to eating fish!) we collected our suitcases and headed for the airport. Italy here we come!
Get on with the photos I hear you say. Well as we have taken so many images we have decided to share Lorraine and Brahim’s story in stages. Here are some shots from the Friday in London, you will have to wait a couple of days for Italy shots.
We just want to say a huge thank you to Lorraine, Brahim and all their wonderful friends for making our week so unforgettable and for putting up with our relentless snapping! Emma & Ian Xxx
……next, Saturday and Sunday night at Lenno and Bellagio.
