Newborn photography in our Wheathampstead studio.

Ian and I offer newborn photography here at our daylight home studio. We strive to capture natural photographs of newborns sleeping with care and attention to detail. Recently we had the pleasure in photographing two beautiful sisters.  The youngest ten days old and adored, by her older sister. Capturing a newborn with one or more siblings doesn’t always go to plan, however we were delighted with the results from this shoot.  The attention is directed to making the sibling feel comfortable and relaxed, after all they are the ones who determine the outcome of the shoot!

Newborn photography should ideally take place in the first two weeks from birth, preferably the first week. Babies develop quickly and their sleep and feeding patterns change.  After a few weeks they become aware of their surroundings and may not settle as well. Newborns typically drift off to sleep more easily the younger they are.

With two children of our own, we know how wonderful and challenging the early stages of parenthood are, so don’t panic if you are a little late – we understand 🙂

We do our upmost to make parents and children comfortable and feel at ease before being photographed. Privacy to feed your newborn and of course tea and biscuits are a must! (we find Dad’s prefer the chocolate ones!)

Please contact us if you would like your bump or newborn photographed. We are more than happy to chat through requirements for your shoot.
