I am very excited to be sharing with you the wedding of Terry & Theresa in the Seychelles.

This certainly was a wedding to remember and by far the most remote and beautiful places Ian has ever photographed a wedding.  Denis Island, a private Island off the Seychelles was the location for this most intimate wedding.  Ian photgraphed Terry and Theresa’s engagement shoot back in March which resulted in them booking him for their destination wedding.

So in preparation for this once in a lifetime opportunity Ian felt he should upgrade his camera as well as his summer wardrobe! The perfect excuse.  Packing was interesting as all his camera equipment and lighting needed to be safe but weighs quite a bit and he had 3 flights to get there.  His camera hand luggage, unsurprisingly ended up being over weight, so he ended up with camera round his kneck and lenses in his pocket boarding the plane – needs must!

After nearly 24 hrs of travelling he arrived in paradise, 100% humidity and 29 degrees a little hotter than Hertfordshire!

Perfectly described in their words, ‘Denis Island is an enchanted Seychelles coral isle, set like a rare jewel in a sapphire sea.
The perfect tropical cocoon where to enjoy the barefoot luxury of authentic, island living.
Seduced by the understated elegance of private, beachfront cottages and an exquisite
cuisine designed to tempt the gourmet’s palate.’

Ian was greeted by the friendly staff with a cold flannel, ice tea and fresh sushi.  Anyone would think he had just got married!

The ceremony took place at 5pm due to the heat of the day, the light by this time was not so harsh and soon turned to a rich golden sun set and the most beautiful starlit sky.

Below are a selection from Ian’s Seychelles adventure. I’m hoping next time he’ll take me with him!
